Point Break remake finds its new Johnny Utah
It's taken three years, but that long-developing Point Break remake is finally happening. The original film was released in 1991 and famously starred Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. It was directed by future Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow and has gone on to become a cult classic.

Warner Bros. has searched high and low to find the perfect actors to bring Point Break back to life. After an exhaustive search, it has filled the primary roles of Agent Johnny Utah and surfer/robber Bodhi. Scottish actor Gerard Butler will play the latter role, following in Swayze's footsteps, while native Aussie Luke Bracey will star as Utah.

In Point Break, Utah goes undercover with a group of extreme sports fanatics who are suspected of robbing a string of banks. Bodhi is their fearless leader whose charisma and friendship make it hard for Utah to bring him down. The film was very similar to The Fast and the Furious, only it came out 20 years earlier.

According to The Wrap, Bracey beat out several young actors for the role of Utah. For example, Christian Cooke, Luke Grimes and The Hunger Games' Sam Claflin all read for the part. Bracey previously appeared in the blockbuster G.I. Joe: Retaliation in which he played Cobra Commander opposite Dwayne Johnson.
Point Break will be directed by cinematographer Ericson Core from a script written by Kurt Wimmer.
What do you think of Point Break's new Johnny and Bodhi? Do the actors have what it takes?
Is it ever OK to kiss and tell?
Talk about the ultimate diss.
Gerard Butler appeared on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show on Monday and finally admitted that the rumor is true: He did hook up with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville in a "one-afternooner."
But he didn't even know her name.
"It was a one-afternooner, but it was fun," he said. "She is wild."
Despite having fun, he didn't want anyone to know about it. The Olympus Has Fallen star added that he called the reality star to apologize for not remembering her name.
"I said one, 'I'm not very happy you did that because there are certain things you keep a little private. And two, 'I'm sorry I said I didn't know who you were!'"
But, it's OK that Butler talks about it now? Not cool, dude — not cool at all.
It brings up a bigger question: Is it ever OK to talk about a hookup openly? Sex is a pretty intimate thing, and not everyone is comfortable putting their private business out there for the public.
Plus, it's pretty cruel for him to make a joke out of not remembering her name. She obviously read into it a little more than he did.
A good rule of thumb: Stay mum on it unless both sides agree it's OK to talk about. We know, we know—it doesn't always work like that. But at least try to be civil.
We hope Glanville finds a good guy soon, especially with all the drama she's endured (and sometimes egged on) with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian and his new wife, LeAnn Rimes.
And no, we don't think there will be another afternoon between Glanville and Butler. He's found a new girlfriend, Romanian model Madalina Ghenea.
"It's nice when somebody pins you and they know everything about you and they see it in a positive way," he said of his new gal pal. "A lot of stuff that I don't see in a positive way, after she's pinned me I say, maybe I'm all right. Maybe I'm not the biggest d**khead on the planet!"
That's debatable.

Butler was supposed to be on set in late June to film the reboot with actor Luke Bracey. According to The Hollywood Reporter, there were several reasons for the actor's departure, including creative differences and a scheduling issue.
Butler would have been a perfect fit for the surfer role since he spent considerable time training in the sport for the big surf film, Chasing Mavericks, back in 2011.
The development of the remake was a three-year long process. Kurt Wimmer wrote the script and cinematographer Ericson Core is scheduled to direct the feature.
